Coconut Oil is a little on the pricey side but it is extremely versitile. There are so many things you can use Coconut oil for that it’s well worth the price. I found my jar of Coconut Oil at my local Wal-Mart in I believe either the oil or the baking aisle. It’s not usually in the vitamins or beauty area as I had previously though. My big jar of Coconut Oil cost around $8. You can also buy it online like on Amazon. Get the cheapest jar you can find. You can also start small and buy bigger jars later on if you find that you really like coconut oil.
So what are the benefits of Coconut Oil?
It can function as an eye makeup remover. Oils themselves help get rid of harder to remove products such as mascara. Dab some coconut oil on a cotton ball and wipe it across your eyes to remove the makeup. It’s super hydrating and will nourish teh delicate skin around your eyes. This can also help with preventing wrinkles around the eyes.
You can use coconut oil for your nail as well. Massage it around your nail bed for hydrated and smooth cuticles. This can also help promote nail growth.
Coconut oil is also great for the skin. As mentioned before it is hydrating and nourishing. It doesn’t leave a greasy feel like some commercial lotions. It absorbs nicely into the skin. It can be used as a massage oil or a substitute for lotion.
Coconut Oil helps with you hair too. It acts as a deep hair conditioner. It nourishes the scalp and helps promote growth. It also gets to the root of the hair to provide deep conditioning. Massage 1-3 tablespoons into your scalp and at the ends of the hair where most breakage occurs. Leave on for around 20 minutes than shampoo it out and add conditioner as usual.
And as a bonus Coconut Oil is the base for most DIY beauty projects from scrubs, lip glosses, your own makeup, etc. It’s a great base oil and so many things can be added to it while also adding great protection, nourishment, and it’s natural! SO give coconut oil a try. It’ll be well worth the money!
