MOTD: Coney Island Troll Doll

Hello Guys! Here’s another MOTD. This one was inspired by this skirt my mom got me that has troll dolls allllll over it for the print. So for the eyes I wanted to use oranges, yellows, and red to represent the bright hair. Here’s the things though, for bright colors I usually use NYX’s jumbo eye pencil in Milk as a base. I forgot to take this with me because I was running late for class so the colors came out very soft and muted. Everything looked okay but I definitely wanted a brighter pop of color. I also let my eyeshadow primer sit on my lids for too long so while it held the eyeshadow all day it didn’t grab onto it and make it stick as it I had freshly applied it. Oh the woes of waiting for the bus-__-

The Concealer Palette I use to Contour

The Colors are a smidge off because of the plastic protective covering but here are the basics.

I used Saturn all over the mobile lid and in the tearduct, Jupiter in the crease, Venus in the outer corner of the lid and a little bit of Aphrodite and Prometheus together to define the crease. These baked eyeshadows are really soft and great for blending but like I mentioned before if I had used a white base I think the colors would’ve popped more and stayed on a bit better. I’m still excited to use this palette. It’s also such a fun surprise to pick up a color like Saturn which is mostly a pale yellow with a mix of pink in and get that little surprise color when you’re applying it. I loved it. The mix of colors in some of the eyeshadows are amazing! I added a small wing then did a coat each of the NYC and Smashbox mascara.

  1. You rock the dimple piercing! It looks SO good on you. I love the makeup look. I am never daring enough with pinks because I’m so pale I end up looking sick but your look came out fantastic!
